St. Helena
Island native, Robert Peters, gave us a great
tour of St. Helena Island.



He even brought visual aids, like flax, which
was once a major industry for the Island.




By the way,  people in St. Helena call
themselves Saints, for a number of reasons!
The first house where Napoleon stayed is called Briar's Pavilion (above).  He reportedly was
very happy here, but was later moved to Longwood House (below) for better security.  He was
very unhappy at Longwood House and later died there.  Both these properties are  owned and
maintained by the French government.
